National Security

The Kingston Coventry team, with a deep background in military, international and operational law, combined with extensive government experience, has advised both private entities and military personnel around the globe, including conflict regions, on myriad national security issues.

Our partners possess specialized experience in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) investigations and prosecutions, having formerly supervised cases brought nationwide under the FCPA and participated in the OECD Bribery Working Group in Paris, France.  As clients are confronted with the intricacies of doing business abroad, our team will help navigate the anti-corruption mandates under both U.S. and international law and assist with due diligence reviews.

Kingston Coventry is well equipped to advise clients on the establishment and maintenance of meaningful internal compliance and ethics programs to further reduce risk and criminal exposure.  We likewise represent companies confronted with civil and/or criminal inquiries and investigations by the Department of Justice and the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission.

We possess significant experience handling counterterrorism and anti-money laundering initiatives, and are well-suited to advise private sector clients on international regulatory and security mandates and engage in compliance monitorships and CFIUS and FOCI reviews.  Our partners previously have held top secret security clearances, and understand the sensitive challenges industries face in a global marketplace.

As former federal and state prosecutors, our partners have supervised computer crimes and hacking investigations and prosecutions and are uniquely able to assist companies in identifying and remediating vulnerabilities.  We will assist companies in establishing industry best practices in the areas of cybersecurity and privacy.
